Avoiding M&A Missteps
“There’s a due diligence element when it comes to doing deals that a lot of companies neglect. Sometimes they go forward with a letter of intent, and as long as a third party’s due diligence checks out, they do the deal. We look under the hood, and we want to make sure that what we’re acquiring is what we want. … And then, once they are on board, we complete the transaction. We have a full process around integration. Some people think that it’s painful. I’m not going to lie. Some people don’t. But it’s the right thing. We have an integration playbook. We execute to that.”
